I am Jharla Jharkwey,
the Wolxian, Dane,
serving the lighter shade of grey,
sacrificial selves for gain,
poet tricks philosophical,
signed sine wave lines silvered,
once thy sly wry wolf,
untied servitude ’til delivered,
do conceive I life’s phoenix,
all to perceive the unbroken,
embracing all darknesses lit,
transmitting learned words unspoken,
I have known the serpentine,
ones core reptilian base,
psychometatransmyosis,
thine conscioul matrices face,
embedded within a matter of moments,
influential in neospective thought,
filtered betwixt reflective emotions,
an entity purposefully identity wrought…
…I am that we are…
I’m in love with ego death,
it returns my colour to clear,
I remember who I am,
and recall why I’m here,
you see I’m borderline suicidal,
have been for years,
doctors call it depression,
I call it open eyes n ears,
and so they go on about an incompatibility,
with society,
and hence my propensity for constant insobriety,
the term being anxiety,
now they blame the empathy,
not to mention the,
stockholm syndrome system,
it’s capitalism,
locked in a mental prison,
for fascist globalism,
freedom needs permission,
I can live if I listen,
to nonsense television,
give up on indecision,
and embrace selfish pessimism,
instead I manipulate reality,
through a paradox of properties,
I’m expanding to infinity,
thanks to entities ahead of me,
sending back their energy,
Into forms that I can see,
to communicate with clarity,
I follow paths of poetry,
experiencing their ecstasy,
I’m being all that we can be!
don’t think I’m crazy,
…I am that we are…
The Matri-Patri-archies,
with for-profit pharmacies,
they don’t solve my problems,
any of them,
and if you check the situation,
you might find yourself falling for compartmentalisation rationalisations,
as opposed to divination,
of my unreciprocated relation,
to the prospect of my affection,
causing a psycho-masochistic manifestation,
around my mind’s heartfelt elation,
the core issue of my creation,
earth is laying in waiting,
soul is seeking salvation!
…I am that we are…
The tragic panic,
of ideologies tested,
the manic magic,
of rested bodies infested,
engrossed in gross(e),
the babble built,
treacle minded people,
and whorish hell filth, wow!
believe in honour?
for the guts ‘n’ g(l)ory?
I understand,
you’re a horror story,
casual as usual,
the chapter changes,
the summits plummet,
to rapture ranges,
now dressed to regress,
(It helps them yelp,)
the whole scream team
just dealt themself,
they’re up with down,
to manage the manger,
bid bred kids,
win big for a stranger,
the trap’s unlatched,
and they want to be flee,
but the run’s no fun,
need weight and.. see?
…I am that we are…
Finished with the wait and see,
I upped the latency,
and took responsibility for the energy assigned to me,
the world is transmutable,
and I’m immutable,
proof irrefutable,
that nothing is impossible,
for instance,
the existence,
of matter made malleable,
I’m busting miracles,
with this magical sickle,
cutting pictures in your fate,
and watching the love trickle,
through who you are,
yon Venus and Mars,
brighter and closer,
a sun amongst stars…
…I am that we are…
I need my happiness to be true,
not momentary,
I need it to be me and you,
plus everybody,
awake and freely living,
all in harmony,
I feel when you’re near,
because you’re a part of me,
we are that one thing,
that one thing we seek,
close your eyes and let the light speak,
…I am that we are…
The Goddess doesn’t judge me,
I judge myself in her presence,
harmonise with her eyes,
her divine acquiescence,
the demi-deicide justified,
forgiven by benevolence,
unashamed with nought to hide,
I return to her quintessence,
and now that I want for nothing,
grass grows about me in the garden,
my flowers have been wilting,
lulling my soul to sleep,
as I sleep I dream of our state,
Goddess she sings,
til my soul resonates,
faster and higher til out of flesh breaks,
freed of my needs and all my mistakes,
freed of my seed,
my light returns grey,
I am that we are.
This is the first post on this blog. I figure, we had best start with a lengthy introduction of sorts. “I Am That We Are” is actually a collection of poems from various viewpoints merged into an amalgamated identity that posits itself as the timeless consciousness which inhabits us all. Its all very emotive and existential, and has strong hip-hop influences in its spoken form. As each verse is told from a different archetypal viewpoint, its natural flow is jarred and uneven.
